JCL was on Fox5!  Thanks to all who watched and thanks for checking in!  We're thrilled to be sending "South" out into the world this Saturday at Eddie's Attic.  There aren't many tickets left but if you jump on it now you should still make it!

Hello friends, it's finally happening!  The last note has been played the last word has been sung, the long awaited follow-up to our first album, Jackson County Line, is about to be released!  It's called South.  We couldn't be prouder of it and, while there are dozens of folks to credit we want to give a huge thank-you to our producer, friend, and Svengali of knob twiddling, Will Robertson.  We just couldn't have done it without him.

Enough chat, you want to hear it, right?  Well your first chance will be here on jacksoncountyline.com.  We've got some new web updates rolling out over the next week or two and there will be a few samples just to get you warmed up for...

The album release show! 

August 28th, 2010.  Eddie's Attic.  $8 advance.  We're also thrilled to be brining a few friends along.  First up, Clay Cook, Atlanta legend and more recent country-rock-star-extraordinaire (of Zac Brown Band fame) will be helping us start the show.  We've also got a new friend in John Wesley Satterfield.  Both guys will do short sets and then we're on to share the results of all our hard work. 

If you can't wait that long be sure to check out WRFG 89.1 on Monday, August 23rd from 8 to 10 PM or Fox 5's Good Day Atlanta on Thursday, August 26th at around 9 AM.  You may hear and see some familiar sounds and faces!

We're still happy destroying 1's and 0's in the studio (digital audio joke, sorry...) but more importantly have added a few shows in the coming months.  We're excited to be heading to Livingston, Alabama for a radio show followed by a music festival.  We've also scheduled a return to the newly audio-upgraded Kavarna.  Also in town we're excited to be joining the Georgia Urban Forest Council for the first ever ArborJam being held at Sweetwater Brewery.  To  quote from their web site...

The first annual ArborJam will be held on April 27, 6-9 p.m. at the Sweetwater Brewing Company, 195 Ottley Drive, Atlanta.  Tickets are $35. A belated happy new year to all from JCL.  We've actually seen lots of you and have been keeping very busy for 2010 to date though so we don't feel too bad about it.  We've had a few great shows including a great trip back to Birmingham and a fantastic intimate show at Smith's Olde Bar with good  friends Roxy Watson.  We're branching out a bit next week and heading down to Columbus, GA to perform at The Loft on February 27th.  Make it a road trip or call all your military friends and send 'em our way.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Five Spot last night.  We had a great time, really enjoyed Leroy Powell, and really enjoyed playing. 

Just a quick heads up that we've had to reschedule our show at the Crimson Moon in Dahlonega.  Never fear though, we'll still be playing that night just closer to home.  We'll be at Rhythm and Hues in Marietta.  Check the tour page for details.  We're still hammering out dates to make it up to Dahlonega but we'll shoot everybody an email when the time comes.

Ticket information for the 9.11.09 Rome show with The Little Country Giants.

Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for all others.  They are available online here with a few dollars worth of credit card fees tacked on to the top.  Alternately you may purchase them from the Rome Visitors Center, at the door, or find us at any of our other shows between now and then and we'll hook you up.  Doors will open at 7:30, show starts at 8.  We'll see you there!
