Happy New Year from Jackson County Line! We're very excited to be starting the new year with a bunch of shows on the schedule. We'll start on January 8th opening up for the Lindsay Rakers Band. On the 14th we hop down to Macon to join the Back Row Baptists at The Hummingbird. From there is a newly announced show in Athens on Wednesday, January 19th. We'll be back at the Melting Point all by ourselves. Come early and have some dinner! February 19th brings us back to our home field at Eddie's Attic, and we'll scoot back down to Macon again a few weeks after that. We hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and are already enjoying a great new year. We'll be working a few new tunes into the sets and will keep the favorites fresh too. Peace, jcl |

Bad news and good news on the JCL front friends. Starting with the bad, we've had to pull out of the stadium show for the Fulton Arts and Music Expo. We apologize to any who had already gotten tickets. Let us know and we'll see if we can do anything for you! On the good news front though we have added another show. We're returning to Dahlonega, GA to perform at the Frog Hollow Treehouse once again. If you're a North Georgia type who can't make it to our Smith's Olde Bar show on the 28th, we've got a great deal for you. We'll be in your neck of the woods the next night on October 29th. Tickets are available here. If you've never been to Frog Hollow, it's a great relaxing way to watch a show. Bring a folding chair (and maybe a blanket, it might get chilly) and enjoy a show in the peace and beauty of the North Georgia foothills. Peace, jcl |

Huge thanks to all who came out to our show in Athens. We LOVE the Melting Point and are going to be back as soon as possible. For the new folks, keep up with us on Facebook if you'd like! Exciting news on the local ATL front, we've just confirmed that the amazing Danielle Howle will be with us at the Smith's Olde Bar show on October 28th. Also joining us is Abby Owens. Waycross, GA won't just be known as 'where Gram Parsons is from' once you hear her! The show should start around 8 and you'll want to be there 'cause it's going to rock even more than usual! Peace, jcl |

We're gearing up for our first out of town show in a little while and really looking forward to hitting Athens this Thursday! If you don't know Paul Thorn check him out here. He's fantastic and we're honored to be joining him at The Melting Point. Advance tickets are here and you can let us know you're coming both here and here.
In other news, album sales are going great. Guten tag to whoever you are in Berlin and G'day to the Aussies who keep buying our albums. We really look forward to meeting you some day! If you can't make it to Athens be sure to clear the calendar for October 28th! No costume required. Smiths Olde Bar, secret special opening act to be announced here very soon. Peace, jcl |

A quick update from the JCL front. We've had to reschedule a recently added show. We're disappointed but looking forward to working with The Gourds in the future! We're at Smith's Olde Bar on October 28th now! Also thanks to everyone for hitting iTunes and Cdbaby in the last few weeks. We're loving the reviews and feedback. If you haven't hit it up yet here's some buttons! (P.S.- We're going for sxsw again this year so send good vibes to Austin for us) |

A huge thanks to all who made our sold out release at Eddie's Attic such a huge success! We had a fantastic night and a great start to introducing "South" not only to the South but the rest of the world. If you haven't heard it yet you can hit CDBaby or iTunes and get the real thing or the MP3 versions. Please post reviews too, we'd love to hear what you think! |

JCL was on Fox5! Thanks to all who watched and thanks for checking in! We're thrilled to be sending "South" out into the world this Saturday at Eddie's Attic. There aren't many tickets left but if you jump on it now you should still make it!
South will be available at the show and on CD baby as of the 28th. Itunes and the rest of the e-world should catch up very soon, we'll let you know! If you just can't wait there are a few samples here. Thanks for all the love and support and we'll see you soon! Peace, JCL |

Hello friends, it's finally happening! The last note has been played the last word has been sung, the long awaited follow-up to our first album, Jackson County Line, is about to be released! It's called South. We couldn't be prouder of it and, while there are dozens of folks to credit we want to give a huge thank-you to our producer, friend, and Svengali of knob twiddling, Will Robertson. We just couldn't have done it without him. Enough chat, you want to hear it, right? Well your first chance will be here on jacksoncountyline.com. We've got some new web updates rolling out over the next week or two and there will be a few samples just to get you warmed up for... The album release show! August 28th, 2010. Eddie's Attic. $8 advance. We're also thrilled to be brining a few friends along. First up, Clay Cook, Atlanta legend and more recent country-rock-star-extraordinaire (of Zac Brown Band fame) will be helping us start the show. We've also got a new friend in John Wesley Satterfield. Both guys will do short sets and then we're on to share the results of all our hard work. If you can't wait that long be sure to check out WRFG 89.1 on Monday, August 23rd from 8 to 10 PM or Fox 5's Good Day Atlanta on Thursday, August 26th at around 9 AM. You may hear and see some familiar sounds and faces! Thanks! Peace, jcl |

We're still happy destroying 1's and 0's in the studio (digital audio joke, sorry...) but more importantly have added a few shows in the coming months. We're excited to be heading to Livingston, Alabama for a radio show followed by a music festival. We've also scheduled a return to the newly audio-upgraded Kavarna. Also in town we're excited to be joining the Georgia Urban Forest Council for the first ever ArborJam being held at Sweetwater Brewery. To quote from their web site... The first annual ArborJam will be held on April 27, 6-9 p.m. at the Sweetwater Brewing Company, 195 Ottley Drive, Atlanta. Tickets are $35. (A limited number of at-the-door tickets will be available at $45.) This event is an evening of food, music, and fun to raise funds for the Georgia Urban Forest Council (GUFC) and the Georgia Arborist Association (GAA). Attendees will enjoy delicious LowCountry Barbeque (sweet tea included), the acoustic sounds of Jackson County Line, and the famous brews of Sweetwater Brewing Company. So mark your calendar, order your tickets, and get set for a good time with new friends and old. Proceeds directly support the ongoing programs of the GUFC and the GAA, and a portion of your ticket is tax-deductible. Media support for ArborJam is provided by Atlanta Intown. Other valued sponsors include Gotcha Design and The Beer Connoisseur. Questions? Call 800-994-4832. See you there! |
